The art education specialization trains the students to become professors in the field of visual arts, that own well structured skills in the field of painting and graphic techniques, taught to be creative and mobile in promoting their own artistic concept using the specific skills. The opening towards new artistic and pedagogic experiments correlated with a solid professional preparation are defining characteristics of this specialization giving the students all the necessary abilities for a creative didactic and artistic step.
The actual structure of the art education department is based on a 3 years curriculum. This gives the students a diverse thematic profile which has in view an opening towards all the art disciplines and also towards the newest directions in communication and art education.
The curriculum is supple and fluid and it has been over the time a constant preoccupation of the department. The professors have chosen a pedagogic approach where the curriculum is shaping the future professionals' personalities.

The art education department has a surface of 397 sqm consisting of 5 wprkshops, 1 engraving workshop, 1 photo workshop, 1 professors' room. The workshops are equiped with engraving pressing machines, computers, color printers, copy machines, beamers, sawing machines, photo cameras.
