Mission

The textile arts specialisation trains highly qualified specialists for textile design(textile printing, fabrics, tapestry and textile expression objects) and fashion design, which are ment to acquire and to state their own vision of the chosen profession and to prove creativity and mobility in promoting their own artistic concept under the circumstances of preserving a constant interest towards the major contemporary creaion in the field.
The department promotes the principle of teaching and learning based on the research practice as foundation of a creative educational environment. The goal is for the students to progresively become more responsible and active in relation to the practice and the research in the field.

Endowment

The space owned by the department consists of :
· 8 multifunctional workshops having a total surface of 435 sqm.
· 3 specialized laboratories having a surface of 130 sqm.
· 1 room for the professors.
The equipment used in the department's activities consists of:
· Furnitures, tables, easels and sketch boards
· The general endowment of a fashion design studio
· The general endowment of a textile printing and dyeing workshop
· The general endowment of a weaving workshop
· Computer lab
