Transfers/discontinuation of studies
Students who don’t accumulate during a university year a total of 30 credits (minimum 15 credits/semester) are expelled or, at demand, can pass permanently tot the taxed regime.
Credits are transferable between the structure belonging to different specialization’s or profiles which means a structural transfer and it is possible the by the flexible interpretation o the profile discipline regime or the complementary discipline. This type of transfer is made by the students’ demand and is approved by the Faculty Council where the transfer is demanded.
Credits are transferable from one learning unit by disciplines, groups of disciplines or modules, or by compact periods of study. This type of transfer is made at the students’ demand, based on a convention between the learning institutions involved, with the approval of the dean and rector.
Extreme cases such as: sick leave longer than 3 weeks in a semester, maternity leave, etc are accepted as exceptions to the rule and are solved by discontinuation and extension of free study.
Discontinuations and extensions are not included in the legal duration of free study.
At the students’ demand, The Faculty Council can approve the discontinuation of studies for 1 – 4 semesters. Studies can be continued starting with the semester after the last finished semester.
Discontinuations are not included in the legal duration of studies.
