The students' rights and obligations
The students’ rights and obligations are stipulated by the Regulations on students’ professional activity.
The rights of fee-paying students are stipulated by the Law no. 441/2001.
The students have the right to:
- tax-free education for professional training
- free access to labs and University’s library
- free medical assistance
- scholarships for merit, study, rewards through special scholarships and social aids, as stipulated by the law
- free organization in student associations
- representation in the University Senate and in faculty boards
- require didactic activities other than those included in the curricula of the specialization attended (partial examinations, practical works) in exchange for a fee, according to the specificity of the subject and of the faculty, upon approval of a teaching staff member and the Head of Cathedra
- benefit from internal and international mobility
- petition on issues of university life.
The students have the following obligations:
- to observe the normative acts regulating the student activity
- to fulfill the requirements of the curricula and of university syllabuses
- to show respect to the teaching, administrative and technical staff
- to carefully use and protect the material goods of the University
- to repair all prejudices caused to the University by degradation and destruction of material goods received in use
- to demonstrate interest and honor towards the University through their attitude and general behavior.
The students who directly or indirectly prejudice the University through their attitude and activities lose their right of belonging to the University community through expulsion. In case of any infringement, students can be penalized by: admonishing, written admonishing with warning, scholarship withdrawal for a limited period, or expulsion from the University.
