Merit scholarships and study scholarships are granted to UAD students, full time students, according to the results obtained. Merit scholarships are granted to students that in the previous university year, or in the first semester, have obtained means between 10 – 9.80, in the limit of 10% of the fund for that program. First year students can’t receive merit scholarships. The amount is: 250 lei/month.
Study scholarships are granted to students that in the previous university year, or in the first semester, have obtained means between 9.79 – 8.00, in the limit of the fund of the program, proportionally with the number of students enrolled in that certain university year.
Only students who have participated in all the university activities according with the study plans, on the basis of the criteria established by the Senate of the University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca, in the limit of the funds offered by Ministry of Education and Research, proportionally with the number of full time students, can receive scholarships. The amount is: 200 lei/month.
Social aid scholarships are granted on demand according to the financial situation of the parents or of the legal supporters. Social aid scholarships are granted up to 10% of the global fund given to the University, to students with critical finical conditions. The order of the granting of these scholarships will be given by the smallest incomes proven by documents. There also will be taken into account students who are mentioned in the 10th article of the 42/1990 Law, republished, orphan students, those who have been sick with TBC and are in the evidence of the hospitals, those suffering from diabetes, malignant diseases, grave syndromes of malabsorbtion, chronic renal insufficiency, bronsic asthma, epilepsy, congenital cardiopathy, chronic hepatitis, glaucoma, grave myopia, those infested with HIV of those suffering of AIDS, spondilosis or articulator rheumatism. The amount is: 150 lei/month.
The condition for maintaining the scholarship in the second semester is passing all the obligations according to the study plans for the first semester. The scholarships lost will be granted to other students in the same program at the start of the second semester according to the mean of the previous year.
Tax-paying students with an annual mean higher than 9.00 can apply for a scholarship from own incomes.
